It’s been a few months since I posted here. There are a couple of reasons for that. Firstly this was a project for university, so I felt I should leave it to be marked, secondly I’ve been without internet for quite a while.
You see I’ve been on a roller-coaster of moving house. My house-mate, in who’s name the internet was in, moved out so no internet. That was at the end of October. I still haven’t moved!
I’m now at my parents, since the place I was renting sold, but hope to be in my flat very very soon! Thankfully my parents have internet!
I know it’s a first world problem and all that but being without internet is quite a tricky thing. I used my mobile, using the tethering option, and went to Starbucks. My poor little laptop wasn’t really up to the task. It was either that or Starbucks WiFi is a little on the slow side. So I paid a silly amount for internet!
At this time of year everyone, well some of us, make new years resolutions. I have in the past but never anything concrete. However 2014 is going to be a little different for me. It is the first year I feel I’ve been completely free.
I have a job, so don’t have to worry about money, I’ll have a flat, I’ve finished my MA, and basically they’ll be nothing I have to do except go to work!
Don’t get me wrong I’ve really enjoyed uni but it was a bit of a juggling act.
So here I some goals for the new year.
…
Well I was considering doing a numbered list but writing it like that looks too official.
In the new year I want to finally finish my ******** novel. I’ve gone back to it some many times and have become confused by my own plot but the end is in sight – it will be done!
I’ll try to write on here at least once a week. I’ll probably cheat by scheduling posts just in case I have a lack of time. Connected with that is a goal to continue with you tube. I did a smattering of badly thought out ramblings this year but I want to make that better. I’d love to have 100 subscribers by the end of the year. Finally I want to submit a short story to a competition or magazine every month.
On a more personal note I want to get fit and lose weight.
Happy New Year! We’ll see how long these resolutions last!
