With a new year we all try to think of things that we want to do differently or better or something completly knew. For myself I’m planning on doing more exercise. Its been a plan for a while but I’m going to try and really make an effort this coming year.

I have thought about joining a gym. However a gym is about £240 a year which is a lot if money and really more than I can afford. So perhaps I’d get on better with using the wii and a system of reward instead.

I’m trying to get back to normality after Christmas and have not yet managed it – hence wakeing up at 9:30 today. Compared to how school used to be it is still quite a shock how short, practically nonexistant, the Christmas break is. Today I have work in the afternoon/evening so I will try and go to bed soon after getting home and attempt to slip into normaility.

I have to be off to work in just a couple of hours. I have been off for four days and it does feel like a nice long time. Now though it is time to get back to normality. The nice thing is though that I will have the evening. Tomorrow my brother is heading off to visit his girlfriend – so it doesn’t feel like I’m missing anything.

Today is the last day of my hoilday. Then everything goes back to normal – well as normal as life ever gets I suppose. Christmas has been good this year, that’s not to suggest it has been bad in the past, its been simple and nice.

In someways I prefer Christmas now to when I was younger. I would always be so excited for Christmas that the waiting became annoying. Now though I am able to wait without a problem. Now Christmas seems able to creep up on me rather than feeling its so far far away.

Well it’s Christmas Day. Merry Christmas. It is overcast outside so basically a standard Welsh Christmas. The weather though makes little difference – today is going to be a great day.

I’ll be going round to mum + dad’s in a bit and their I will have a glorious feast! It is also Doctor Who later today. Funny how that has so quickly become a part of Christmas.

That seemed like an appropiate title for Chrismas Eve. I’m not like Scrooge but Christmas doesn’t have the magic it once had. When I was young I would always be up at about 5 in the morning on Christmas day but, a few years back, I woke up at 10 o’clock and I knew I was an adult.

Speaking of a Christmas Carol and getting up a thought occured to me just now. When I have to be up in the morning I naturally set an alarm but what would have happened in Victorian times – when did alarm clocks first come into existance? I must look that up. It is strange to think though that there was a time where you just had to go to bed and hope you would naturally wak

e at the right time.

Merry Christmas!

I know that I’m strange so no one needs to point that out. When I went to bed last night I decided not to set an alarm. I almost always set an alarm – even on days off. I like to get stuff done and feel that the later I get up the less I’ll get done. That may sound obvious but what I mean is that I’m not so good at writing into the evening so I can’t simply write later. The result this time was that I slept for nearly 10 hours. I guess I must have needed it.

Last night I was at the Castel, Cardiff Castle for their Christmas banquet. It was a four course meal with singing and general jollyness. The steak we had for the main course was very good. I guess they avoid turkey, and roasted bird in general, as people are usually sick of turkey by the ene of Christmas – or at least they have had a hell of a lot of it.

Today is the day that some say the world is going to end. Well I can assure you that it is not. The would ending will not come from signs and just watch the various videos on you tube if you don’t believe me.

Do you ever get that moment where your body keeps moving but your mind is saying go to bed? I’m getting that right now. I’ve spent a lot of time tonight looking, unsucessfully, for something. What’s more annoying is that I’m sure I had it in my hands this morning.
