Rise and shine. So they say we should do at this time – first thing in the morning. I’ve always had trouble with the shine part of that.
Last night was the work Christmas party. It was the first one I’ve ever been to – and that is at all. I’ve never even had a job before this one.
The party was at a club so it was loud – very loud. It wasn’t as bad as some clubs I’ve been to in the past but it was a little too loud. I don’t think I will ever understand how people meet people at clubs. You can’t have a proper conversation & are basically reduced to nodding along with someone after you start to feel embarrassed at how many times you’ve had to ask them to repeat themselves. So who knows what drunken logic you might have agreed with.
I’m just thankful that clubs don’t play the music in the toilets. That way there is at least one place where you can go where it is quite.
Why are clubs so popular? I honestly haven’t got a clue. If the music level was just a little lower or it had quiet sections for talking then it would be great. In the current format though they are not my cup of tea.
I’m a nerd through and through or is it a geek – no I think nerd. So where do people like me go to find that special someone?
At a club I find myself unsure of what to do. My limbs don’t seem to want to dance. Part of this is no doubt me being self conscious but in any case I feel stiff. I also don’t know how to star a conversation.
There is someone who I would like to be taking to but in a club where do you begin? It can be hard to here yourself think let alone here what others are saying.
Overall though it was an enjoyable evening. Though I would have preferred a bar setting. Now that I think about it that would be perfect. A bar with several rooms so you can sit and chat or dance the night away.
It is now a little after 8 somehow I awoke at this time and now I’m going to get out of bed. At least morning pages seems to be waking me up.
Getting up didn’t go according to plan but I’ve still got a lot of stuff done. Been tidying up so the house looks more of a mess than when I started.
